I’m in my new office.
This time it has a window! Still an office mate, too, but the window is pretty sweet.
I am about to have an all-day meeting.

I wish faculty still ran the universities. I think meetings were probably more fun back then.
I wish a lot of things.
My new commute time appears to be traffically reasonable, which is a pleasant surprise. I was thinking I would have to get up at 6:20, but I think 7:20 will be fine.
This is just exactly the kind of high-octane stuff you can expect to see from me in the coming months.

To everyone starting a school year, I bid you good morrow! And to everyone not starting a school year, who’s sick of all the school-year people acting like September is anything other than just a regular ol’ month, I bid you apologies from all of us! It’s just so exciting and scary!
Fall is coming, my favorite season. What a delight. Woodsmoke in the air, sweaters on the body, rain pattering on the windowpane of an evening. The only thing I’m not looking forward to is the snoopy’s wet muddy paws twice a day but you get what you pay for and that’s a fact.
