There has been a lot of improvement over the last week, but it did start kinda slow. I wept during that Biden interview. Melodica guy is a pretty big doofus, but then again so was Paul Shaffer.
I watched the first new colbert and it was a joy to see him but I agree with UBS2011, the format ruined it. I did feel compelled to watch more episodes.
I add my sad face. Much too much time spent on the band and stand up intro. Interviews with singles should overlap with doubles. More Charlie Rose less standup. Colbert is smart enough for it.
Still on the fence with Noah, first show was pretty good but that one was a result of a week of "pre shows" so they had a lot of time to build it. 2nd show seemed pretty flat. The QVC skit didn't work for me.
Colbert is starting to get into the groove though. I agree with Dr Will that the weakest part right now is the initial monologue. As soon as he sits down at the desk a switch is flipped.
Dang, if they're going to bring more dance performances to late-night, maybe I'll actually watch!
Just kidding, I am the Worst TV Watcher of All Time. Even this could not convince me to commit to any show. John Oliver is the closest I get to commitment and I am many months behind.

Dislikes: weird happy glow, edge has been dulled
