thing that i learned this week: take 2 slices of white bread sear one side on a griddle with some butter like you're making a grilled cheese put one cup of B&J Cherry Garcia in between the slices. cut into triangles
This is great info to help bolster my instinctive disgust with Jimmy Johns, which I associate with the absolute worst aspects of living in Iowa City (basically a theme park for drunk frat boys)
Yeah I stopped getting Jimmy John's after finding out about that stuff. I used to get their tuna sub delivered on rainy work days. No longer. At least I can enjoy their #freesmells.
How high up does a "terrible conservative big-game hunter asshole" have to be in the corporate structure in order to evoke a "NO DEAL" clause?
If it's a VP? What about a board member? What about a co-founder that has since left the company (but still has stock). What if a majority stock holder/shareholder activist is the asshole?
For me it's probably in the top 2 or 3. Like if Tim Cook or Jony Ive was a homophobic conservative libertarian gunslinger and super vocal about it, I'd seriously reconsider purchasing any Apple product. But not if it was Wozniak or a big shareholder or somebody who hadn't been involved in years.
Kinda the same reason I deleted Uber from my phone without ever using it. Dude is a raging libertarian asshole and it's obvious from the top down.
I recently found out that one of the most awful people I have ever worked around (we worked for separate companies under the same parent company) is really high up at Uber. Really explained a lot. He is literally one of my least favorite humans.
I'll still use Uber for business travel, because expense reports are really easy with it.
