Nog Weather

It's so weird how one day it just suddenly FEELS like Autumn. Yesterday was the day for me and today confirms it.

    I had such a nice crisp ride to work today. Totally fall! Except for this weekend, which will be Summer as Hell. But I am so down!!!

    But I'm betting that even though the temperature will be hot, it will still have that feeling of Fall. Something to do with the angle of the light and our monkey brains.

    Did y'all see the CRAZY haze this evening? We were driving back into Portland from the VBC and it felt so smoggy and weird. Couldn't even see Mt Hood. Nice sunset though.

    Ok, first of all, today felt very Summer, so I retract my previous statement.

    Second, I didn't see the haze from afar, but down my street there was a haze of a zillion bugs swarming in the sunset light.

    It's windy as hell is what it is. One branch has already fallen off my tree in a dangerous way and my power flicked off for a bit.

    Out East it's windy as hell, about 80 degrees, and a million percent humidity. Like a wet cloth gently whipping against your face.

    Smelly WHAT are you talking about! You're only an hour away from me and that is not what it was like here yesterday. It was a little wet but cool and gray. That's crazy if it's so different so nearby!!!!!!

    Last week was truly a million percent humidity. Soaking wet constantly; disgusting; hot as balls. Right now it is delightful and brisk and I am happy because apples are coming into the co-op!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It was different here! I'm basically on the coast, maybe different weather blew in, what do I know.

    Last week was truly hot as balls and super humid. I was just wet all the time with sweat because my Oregon body doesn't understand! It probably helped me to make a great impression on many people.

    p.s. I do not miss that fucking East Coast humidity. If you think it's bad up there, imagine growing up in SC like me, where it is just the grossest sauna all the time.

    It has just been motherfucking pleasant here pretty consistently since we arrived. One week of hot and humid and the rest of the time just the most pleasant summer weather. Now it's cold and autumnal. What more could baby ask for

    Gary went to Dunkin Donuts the other day and got a pumpkin donut and a pumpkin latte, both of which he described as "Gross," and he said every person in there was excitedly talking about all the pumpkin flavors.

    I think everyone secretly is excited about fall even though they all complain about how it's not a billion degrees outside anymore

    I don't really enjoy the pumpkin very much. Not a big squash fan.
    Pumpkin pie, even, leaves me pretty cold.

    woke up yesterday morning and stepped outside to full on autumn scape. All the leaves dropped off the tree in our yard, boom! Now it is deeply darkly gray and rainy. Delightful noggin' weather!!!!
