Hey dudes.
My iPad's screen no longer works, and of course, since I bought it a year ago, it's out of warranty (grrrrrr that means this iPad cost me $37 a month).
Replacing this one will cost $299 with a 90 day warranty. A new one costs $500 (if it works a year, that's only $41 a month!).
What should I do?

Is this a good plan for future computing? Or am I supposed to buy a goddamn brand new computer every time one comes out?
Last year I upgraded to a hand-me-down 13" MacBook ($0, circa 2009), but with the SSD, I think I can go another year before getting a new laptop.
Basically, if you don't already have an SSD, upgrading can give you a few more years worth of use, the difference is that dramatic.
I figure, it's still running great and the new ones haven't made drastic changes that I feel I need right now.
