Haven't heard thunder like that in a while...

It's weird when it's weird that it's raining in Portland.

    I did not hear this thunder! When did it happen? I was maybe sleeping soundly.

    I heard it, thought it was thunder, but then decided it was people moving their recycling bins outside. VERY stoked to learn my half-asleep assessment was correct!!!!!!!

    The only reason it woke me up is the early rumbling sounded just like recycling bins on our driveway outside my bedroom window and my brain was like "DUDE! WAKE UP! GARBAGE DAY!"

    Us Portlanders live in constant fear of missing the fortnightly garbage pickup.

    Oh WAIT! I totally remember waking up and thinking my roommie was rolling in the recycling cart. It never even occurred to me that is could be anything else.

    We had that too, yesterday afternoon. Washed stuff away. Still all warm and tropical. I walked around in it with my umbrella and watched how the drains worked. Thrilling!
