OK, fine, you bullies, I got an iPhone. What apps do I need? Here are the ones I've added so far (besides the ones that go without saying like Amazon, FB, Twitter, etc.):
Dark Skies
Qwordy
Nike Training Club
Car2Go
PDX Bus
Bike Maps
What else do I need? What else might be fun or make my life better?
Comments
some sort of menstrual calendar (I use WomanLog, which is a terrible name)
google maps so you don't have to use apple maps
instagram
that's all i have
Scanner pro - use your phone like a high quality scanner. best document capture software, worth all seven bucks it cost
ViewAhead - anticipate rest stops, gas stations, hotels from the road
Go to trimet.org, navigate to transit tracker, enter your favorite bus sop ID then drop the link to your home page as a shortcut (PDX bus lacks this easy access to bus arrival info)
Adobe reader, Evernote, and skitch for PDF/document access and markup
Scan - barcode reader and log
Timehop
Twitterrific
Clear
Tweetbot
Flickr
Reeder
Evernote

Mike, why is Tweetbot ($$) better than the free Twitter app, which seems perfectly functional to me?
Also, Find2Car is no longer supported as an app. You have to use the Car2Go official app.
Find2Car still works... weird. Well, I'll try the "official" app!
Zillow & Redfin
TripIt
Hipmunk
OnTheFly
Airbnb
Cooks Illustrated
NY Times
is everybody doing it?
I rarely post
It is a fun way to hear a few jokes if you've got some down time
I find it difficult to wade through all the re-tweets and stuff but I am getting better
BumpStickIdeas is really good though
"It's Adam and Eve, not Adam and Jennifer"
"Children Need Both Step-Parents"
"Continue Following Me On Twitter"
"How Do I Find Out About What To Buy"
Owly, the other day he tweeted "Hunks Are People Too" because I told him
our biz is launched
so weary
I enjoy:
Harbor Master -- when flying on planes
Garage Sale Rover -- for looking up cool estate sales
Flipboard --for managing my sites
Pano Tuner -- for tuning my uke
PublicArtPDX -- for figuring out "who made that cool mural?"
Sally, you might enjoy following celebrities
I also enjoy when Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black have sarcastic back-and-forths with each other
I also love this character Tim Heidecker plays on Twitter sometimes where he is like this humorless scold. "A lot of people worked hard on that movie you're making fun of. #growup" and such
I like Jen Kirkman's ceaseless feminist ranting
weirder stuff I follow:
the composer Nico Muhly's twitter has a very funny tone I enjoy
I follow this person who tweets in the middle english of Chaucer and it makes me laugh
I follow Gary The Squirrel, which I can't really describe
I had to un-follow Yoko Ono
I stay on there in case people want to reach out to me, or I want to reply to something someone said.
I think I'm going to go there right now and just follow back all my followers. I never read it anyways.
Twitter pays off!
I also love the Amazon app for the reasons Marc_Zuck said! Such a great tool for knowing if you are getting a good deal or not.
It's like the Olive Garden of Italian food!!
MZ what's "FOT"?
He's great
It's fun!
I don't care who reads it or pays attention, I just think it will be great to have a place to put those little blursts of dumb thought that bubble up every once in awhile. If you know me you can find me, I'll be saying dumb stuff with frequency and NOT doing a bunch of links.
I thought FOT meant friends on twitter.
