  • I didn't find anything about Pine Sol, but I did find this thing about Lysol from the 20s:

  • oh hell yeah 1920s gender advertising! "Keeping the body in a state of scientific cleanliness"

    "safeguard of feminine daintiness"

  • So, we're voting for Lysol/Pinesol, then?

    Daintiness. Absolutely.

Resolved: A bon-bon rinse of tub and tile cleanser gets the UHX endorsement before Jefferson Smith.

d bag is the same as scum b**

    gross!!! this is gross
  • Ballot turned in! If you are in Multnomah Co, you can drop your ballot no stamp at the election office which shares the block with YU at 11th and SE Morrison-Belmont.

Who is registered and who has voted is a public record. Each cause has a list of theoretical supporters, gets the list of who has voted and bugs you until you turn that ballot in. You can also view all the processes of ballot handling there.
  • I filled mine out. Will drop it in the mail when I get back home.
  • I've been mulling over Hales vs Smith for a while and a few months ago a friend said that I should vote for Smith because... and I quote, "he'll keep Portland weird." I've been skeptical of that friend and Smith since then. Hales is getting my "the best option I have" vote... and that was prior to the news about his frat days. That only solidified things for me.
  • I goofed up my vote!
  • what did you do!?
  • He voted Romney.
  • I just misread this thread as "How are we vomiting?"
  • I couldn't sleep this morning so I got up early and voted!

    ZINGER!!!!

  • Who do I vote for on things like Supreme Court Judge or Director at Large?
  • For supreme court, one has many years of experience, including as a judge, and the other has been a corporate lawyer. In an interviews, the second has said she would stand up for downtrodden corporations because the existing court does not in her opinion.

Written on a whiteboard by thee financial guru: FREE MARKET NO INSURANCE
  • I don't know, Dr. Both have worked in private practice for a long time, and Nena Cook has been a judge "pro tem" for five years. I would like to hear a soundbite re: this "downtrodden corporations" business - honestly, it sounds like a good idea to help "downtrodden corporations!" I like that Baldwin founded the mental health/drug court, but that doesn't mean he's a good judge. I think you mainly have to be smart and fair to be a good judge.
  • Is there an unlike button on this board??

    : - ))))
  • WHAT!? What did I say?
  • This got posted on the fb, for those who haven't filled out their ballots yet:

    Amber Dennis

I just decided to run for:
East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District Director Zone 2.
There was no one else on the ballot and seeing as how I like to learn about everything and care deeply about soil and water... I'm as good a candidate as any. If elected I will attend all the boring and sometimes exciting meetings and I clean up pretty well. I will listen to others, provide sound opinions and litter my Facebook page with important things you should know about our water and soil. I live in North Portland and I love it here. I'm voting for Amber Dennis, and I think you should do the same. If you haven't voted yet, write me in. Either way, please support me by telling your friends.

Some of my qualifications can be found here: www.linkedin.com/in/amberdennis

I love this - so portland!

  • I mean......
  • is that video "going viral," or do people not find it amazing?

Between the gay bashing and that story about his dog that got a surprisingly small amount of attention I am wondering why Romney hasn't been excommunicated yet, because he is clearly evil.
