Ballot turned in! If you are in Multnomah Co, you can drop your ballot no stamp at the election office which shares the block with YU at 11th and SE Morrison-Belmont.
Who is registered and who has voted is a public record. Each cause has a list of theoretical supporters, gets the list of who has voted and bugs you until you turn that ballot in. You can also view all the processes of ballot handling there.
I've been mulling over Hales vs Smith for a while and a few months ago a friend said that I should vote for Smith because... and I quote, "he'll keep Portland weird." I've been skeptical of that friend and Smith since then. Hales is getting my "the best option I have" vote... and that was prior to the news about his frat days. That only solidified things for me.
For supreme court, one has many years of experience, including as a judge, and the other has been a corporate lawyer. In an interviews, the second has said she would stand up for downtrodden corporations because the existing court does not in her opinion.
I don't know, Dr. Both have worked in private practice for a long time, and Nena Cook has been a judge "pro tem" for five years. I would like to hear a soundbite re: this "downtrodden corporations" business - honestly, it sounds like a good idea to help "downtrodden corporations!" I like that Baldwin founded the mental health/drug court, but that doesn't mean he's a good judge. I think you mainly have to be smart and fair to be a good judge.

I just decided to run for: East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District Director Zone 2. There was no one else on the ballot and seeing as how I like to learn about everything and care deeply about soil and water... I'm as good a candidate as any. If elected I will attend all the boring and sometimes exciting meetings and I clean up pretty well. I will listen to others, provide sound opinions and litter my Facebook page with important things you should know about our water and soil. I live in North Portland and I love it here. I'm voting for Amber Dennis, and I think you should do the same. If you haven't voted yet, write me in. Either way, please support me by telling your friends.

Between the gay bashing and that story about his dog that got a surprisingly small amount of attention I am wondering why Romney hasn't been excommunicated yet, because he is clearly evil.
