For these long years you have brought so much joy to my life, and to the lives of every person who knows you. You are such a tremendous force of positive energy and fun. You have helped me through some of the worst times in my life, with your wisdom and your amazing gentleness, and you have also been there for some of the best times, and made them better. You are such a loyal, smart, hilarious person and I am so glad you are my friend.

The longer I know this guy, the more he keeps surprising me. I like that.
He really pays attention to people. Not just his friends. For example, he kept David alive for all those years.
He keeps giving us secret songs and he's really insistent that one listens to them. If I don't like it, he says I need to open my mind up. I like that.
Sometimes he cuts his hair or face hair into an amusing shape, for the good of all man kind.
He is a really hard worker!
His father stole a pie.
When God put Steve's soul on earth, he did it so that we would have a little more sun shine in this life. Thank you for Steve!

A family of great people
He is one of my dog's favorite people. This is how you know someone is really great and not a serial killer.
I remember this one time years ago when I decided it would be a great idea to go dancing, so I invited everyone to meet me at Holocene. As usually happens when I have a great idea like this, exactly two people showed up. But then I realized Steve was the D.J. and he was over there just getting down like it was nobody's business and it made me feel much more comfortable on the dance floor with my two friends (actually, I think they came one at a time), even though I was likely too shy to say hello.
Steve gets down and makes people comfortable! Happy birthday, Steve!
