And I don’t mean Adult Couple Exchange, you perverts.
I MEAN I ACED my interview!!! Perhaps I am being a tad cocky here, but honestly. I rocked it. If anything I was OVER PREPARED! Who knew I was capable of that. Usually I’m all, “I’ll just wing it.” But not this time. Everyone who has experience with the district told me to prepare for a firing squad, and I was duly terrified. And yes there were 5 people asking me questions, and yes they were multi-part scripted questions, and yes there was space beneath each question for the interviewers’ vigorous notes. But whatever whatever. I stayed calm, and I made a few jokes, and I admitted it out loud when a wave of nervousness washed over me, and it was totally cool. The principal told me that I did a very nice job, and sort of inferred that she would recommend me for the next step, which is an interview with the assistant superintendent. Everyone smiled at me a lot. That has to be a good sign.
I am so relieved!
Even though there are still many hoops to jump through for this job and every other, at least I know I can face down a hiring team and not wet my pants. I do need to dry clean my suit, though. It totally smells like B.O.

No, the regular superintendent is the mean one. If I make it that far I will have to face that scary dragon. He makes everyone cry. Everyone.
