TAKE YOUR CHIPS AND YOUR GUACAMOLE AND GET OUTTA HERE

This is interesting. Again, Obama’s voting record and/or stances / speeches on immigration are more progressive, more humane and more economically sound than Hillary Clinton’s, so I’m not playing all that. Love the quote from CA state senate majority leader Gloria Romero: “‘I don’t think eating tacos’ is effective.” What the person said about her mother role, though – gotta watch out for that one.

I’m glad that Obama’s getting back to what he’s good at – connecting with the voters on the ground level. That’s why he won in Iowa and that’s why I started supporting him in 06 – because he talks about issues in a way that makes people listen, even when you might otherwise think that they wouldn’t care to (Evangelicals talking about the need for condoms in Africa? Say what?!). And all this weird infighting about race and gender (We’re all democrats dammit!) has been distracting and disappointing from both sides. So I’m glad that he’s back, and I cross my fingers that shit doesn’t disintegrate into bickering about who honors MLK more in tonight’s debate, because you KNOW the Clintons are going to try to bring it. EAT a good dinner, Barack!
