I just had to do this for Cuba -- I would suggest going to Wells Fargo downtown, the main branch. They charge $5, free if you are a WF member. There's also the currency exchange at PDX, which offers competitive rates compared to other exchanges in Portland. Wells Fargo is the only bank in town that keeps large amounts of euros on hand; otherwise you have to order them from your bank of choice up to a week in advance.
Surely Xxxx isn't the only (wo)man in town with euros though, right??? We are a traveling bunch. Too bad Xxxx is in Xxxxxx with Xxxxxx or (s)he might be able to give you some.....(s)he's in the same [redacted] as Xxxx, thus travels the same amount!
