caspar sonnet played from 10 to 10:25 mark lewis and jeff witscher played from 10:40 to 10:55 spencer clark and scott simmons played from aprox 11:15 to 11:45 i played from aprox 12 to aprox 12:50
thank you all for coming and listening to all the weird sounds
i recorded the sets for posterity and am listening back and boy wtf was i doing????? playing silly beats and taking solos and talking over them?? pretty weird
how bout that noise set??
how bout that exotic casio sk-1 set?
how bout that caspar sonnet's voice and ukelele and harmonies and weird chords?
for me and a lot of us, music is not so much a "product" as a community coming together
a show like the ones i generally play are a like a show and tell.
as a consumer you pop in for the sake of the whole community experience.
other types of concerts, like ones with a stage at a concert hall and a good fee to get in, thats a different thing.
oh yeah and thanks for the tips! we made $40 between 4 acts/6 people!!!
despite the cool chart and online encouragement, no pizza was delivered
I had my earplugs, so I enjoyed the harsh noise set that was too harsh for a lot of people.
I wasn't digging the sk-1 set, but a lot of people were LOVING it, which made me listen harder because I really wanted to figure out where it was connecting for them.
I did pretty well with my New Year's resolution. I said a lot of people's names when I greeted them. It still feels funny doing it, but I'm getting there.
was the sk-1 set the dude that played before Adam?
I think I missed the harsh noise set. I heard no harsh noise, only mellow noises.
YOU DID NOT SAY MY NAME (or did you? (I didn't say yours (what a dick (me))))
I really liked being at the show. New Year's Resolution for me is going great!
- saying yes to more things: check - not being a baby as often about staying up late: check - yelling "it sounds like fucking" at Adam while he is playing music: check
Guy seems fine, but his tunes just don't do it for me. Funny, because I can hear similarities to White Rainbow, but I don't like it the way I like White Rainbow.
