  • YES YES YES

    You beat me to it!
I really wanted to start this thread again asap but I didn't want to upset Alex who seemed to be enjoying the summer a lot.

    NO NOG YET.
  • DAMN Y'ALL
    where my nog at??
    "Where my soy nog."
SOY NOG WITH BOURBON I'M LOOKING FOR YOU
  • Oh, thanks Joey! That is very thoughtful of you. But I think I'm finally ready.
    Can't wait for that nog.
  • Summer is officially over. The only time you can't eat nog.

I bet nog is coming soon because I see all the weird gross pumpkin beer everywhere. The pumpkin beer is upon us!

This brewery in Brooklyn went to CASCADIA to get some wet hops for their pumpkin beer. (I have not tried).
  • No way, I bet nog doesn't show up until at least November. MY CALL
  • Pumpkin spice lattes are here. They are a harbinger of nog.
  • I am pretty sure we get nog in October here.
    "Golden Glenn Creamery" or something.
    Really thick and nutmeg-y.

    (not that good)
  • mornings of egg nog french toast will happen.
  • Dude!
That's easy! You don't need eggnog for that, I can basically make that for you right now.
  • Seems to get earlier every year.
  • I had the beer with the vbstope hops and it was good.
  • I saw Silk Nog and also NEW Silk Coconut Milk Nog. Intrigued.

    nutmeg
  • I give the NEW Silk Coconut Milk Nog 3/5

    It's kinda too coconutty.
I got used to it, but its not the old fashioned nog we all desire.
  • Does it work in coffee?

    nog
  • the coconog is good but definitely is not as ol' fashioned noggy as we may crave.

HOWEVER I really think it is the best fake nog IN COFFEE that I have had thus far. It's just so thick and good and doesn't have that soy-y aftertaste.

I like the thickness and texture of the coconog better than regular soy nog, and then neither version is quite the taste I want, because the soy is too soy-y.

WHERE IS THE PERFECT VEGAN NOG
  • -1 quart almond milk
-1/4 cup dates, soaked for 20 mins
    -3 peeled bananas
    -1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    -1 teaspoon cinnamon
    -1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    -1/4 teaspoon turmeric

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend well. Serve the nog in festive glasses or mugs or sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg.

Copied this out of a hippie catalog I got.
  • I am putting nog in my coffee instead of milk for a few days....tastes delicious!
