room for rent
Available September 1st: one room in a three bedroom home, near 12th and Killingsworth in NE Portland. $400/month.
Current housemates:
Willoughby - A cook by trade who also maintains an extensive garden during the growing season.
Emily - A letterpress printer who spends about half the year back in the Midwest.
The house is a great bungalow with a basement, garage, generous front and back yards, a beautifully remodeled bathroom, and radiant floor heating throughout. We also have an upright piano, gas stove, solid wood butcher block in the kitchen, and an outdoor shower. We like music, food, and having a good time, but generally maintain a low-key atmosphere in our home. We get the Sunday NYTimes and Harpers, keep our common spaces tidy, and have a relaxed no-shoe 'policy'. We both love cooking (and are omnivores) and like having small dinner gatherings/BBQs in our backyard. We don't love cigarette smoking or raging parties (at least not at our house...very often). Em is 31 and Will is 25.
We're looking for a male or female housemate who is clean, respectful, and easy-going.
