God, I remember doing these 15 minute episodes twice a week, trying not to freak out my job and editing UB3 all night, while I was breaking up with my girlfriend at the time. Love watching it removed from this context. If you start at the beginning you can pretty much follow what's going on!

    I truly miss the exciting ****storm that was UB. All of you nuts going bonkers, hating each other, cracking the whip on each other... driving Dod to a life of majestic desert isolation. Jona telecommuting while on the road. Mike dropping all of his workly duties until production ended (I'm making that up!!!!)
    Remember when we reviewed candidates in the old Panic offices? I was like "PICK LYOVA"

    I love all of Ultimate Blogger, but there is truly a special place in my heart for UB1. Following *all* the comment dialogue! The UHUBUGG! The drama and intrigue of Lyova and James and their impossibly awesome culmination of the game! Trying to track down Lyova's ISP provider to figure out where the heck he was!! OMG it was truly better than "real" reality TV.

    We truly lucked into a special situation with UB1. James and Lyova (and all the contestants) had so much to do with it being special. Everyone was tricking each other all at once in a really fun way.

    It's funny that UB3 is basically a feature length mumblecore (made during the peak of mumblecore) movie about the making of internet reality show. Just realized that.

    i think about lyova pretty regularly.

    the intimacy...the betrayal....he taught me so many things....never to trust again....why did I trust him???? THAT PERSIAN FROG DEVIL

    the twist at the end of ub1 was amazing. also the drama with that certain contestant and the crazy death threats? remember "i will kill you with a knife"?

    mike/steve/jona/judah made such a good thing. all the videos are so incredible. such great acting and production!!!!!
