  I just read about this today, too!

  after a cursory internob search
  i could only find one planking death
  about a guy that fell off a building
  are they sure he was planking?
  i mean, maybe he was doing something normal
  like tripping on LSD

  i stand corrected.
  the first article i read implied that this was not the first time someone had died "of planking".
  but i can't find any other "confirmed planking deaths".
  HOWEVER
  Wikipedia cites two cases of Chubby Bunny deaths.
