To-Do List For Today Thread
Remember the thread where we talked about what we were getting done today? Lets do that again. Some of us have deadlines we need to meet. Some of us work for a living okay!!!!! and by "work" I mean "dick around in Finale trying to figure out how to break a barred eighth note into two single eighth notes because that's what it says in the score!"
Vocal music, am I right, guys? WTF? Just bar the eighth note! We get that it's two different syllables, we're not stupid!!
Everyone in my department says I should switch from Finale to Sibelius but Finale is the one I have for free, because Dalas gave it to me. I'm stuck with it (and grateful to have it, believe me). Copyright issues with published articles are very silly.
Today I Will:
- revise my conference paper into FINAL DRAFT FORM
- finish my powerpoint for my conference paper; find some amusing images that will make scary academics enjoy my paper and then give me a job
- maybe dick around with my dissertation's final chapter
- look idly for more jobs to apply to

I too love putting images in powerpoint. I usually get real creative with it but this conference is ultra scary/stiff so I am limiting myself to a few hilarious paintings

Then I was even more surprised that they could make a sequel that entertained me just as much.
AND NOW, the first time I saw the Jackass 3D trailer I was filled with absolute joy.
I fully embrace my love for this series now.
Aslo, I think 3D is best used in silly/novelty based way (Step Up 3D, Piranha 3D) and expect for this to be a great use of the technology.
INCREDIBLE FILM! Unbelievable that it made 50 million in its first weekend. Visually great! Lots of weiners and poop and laughing.
