Some years ago, I read some thing making fun of Thomas Friedman, where the author assaulted Friedman by attacking the weaknesses of the terrible choices of metaphors he employed.
The reason that I am looking for this, is that a year ago (in what I now recognize as a moment of professional triumph), I successfully assailed a different New York Times writer in the same way, and I just realized I was following after the example of another writer, and now I'm trying to figure out where I got the idea.
