Speaking of throwbacks... This cut just popped out of my soundcloud... New cut from the recent album, but from punk artists that have rewarded and inspired for more than 30 years... (did calvin steal a few moves and superpower amulets from the Half Japanese songbook..? why yes.. I believe he did ... to great effect)
Once upon a time there was a little record label in Dekalb Illinois called Scratch and Sniff Records. Most of the music was messing around and little shows in people's basements. There was this guy Andy Herald who is still to this day one of the best musicians I have ever heard. He just released his first album in about 5 or 6 years and it is just as great as all his stuff ever was. Maybe better. I'm not sure if it was just because I lived there that his music was so special to me but here you go. I hope you enjoy it.
