posting videos on tumblr?

I have a tumblr thing that is supposed to serve as the "companion website" to an article I'm publishing that has a billion audio and video clips as examples. All this is well and good, but I've never used tumblr before, and I am wondering if there is something I don't know about video processing? I uploaded a 10 second video three hours ago and it's still "processing." Googling reveals only people complaining about this; no info about fixing it or anything.
Does anybody have any expert info about this? Advice, hot tips, etc.?

I've heard that Tumblr isn't that dope for video hosting.
You might just want to upload to YouTube and post the links in your Tumblr. That way works great.
