need simple website for putting audio/visual examples on

edited September 2013
this, i am sure, is a stupid question. many of you have been familiar with my stupid computer/internet questions over the years.

I am publishing an article that needs to have an accompanying website where all my listening/viewing examples are (these are mostly like 20 second youtube clips, but also some mp3s). How do I do that? Or what is the best way? I don't know how to embed videos but I am sure I could learn--I'm more wondering what website to use? Should I get a free blog and just stick them there? That doesn't seem super professional but maybe it is? And can you, like, embed a video that you just have on your computer--not a youtube link? oh god

any recommendations to give me a place to start would be great

sorry for being so dumb. i'm smart about other kinds of things, i swear

  • great, Mr. Bones came through for me. Disregard!!!

I am lucky to have the friends I have
  • Maybe it's not luck. Maybe you've been carefully cultivating a group of people with various skills and abilities so that no matter what problem arises you have people who feel "in your debt" and want to help you.

You've conned us all into liking you by being a good friend! HOW DEVIOUS!
  • This is why you can't trust "intellectuals"!
