plant babies

Does anyone have a spider plant with babies they're willing to let go? I plucked all of mine and got about 15, but need about 10 more. Will trade for favors/a beer/a snack/some dollars.

  • I just plucked one from the plant at work! But it was the only one. Sorry. YOU WANT 25 SPIDER PLANTS?
  • Oops! This is Flossy, not Bill. Dammit, Bill, log off when you're done using my computer!
  • Gifts for people attending a baby shower at my house on Saturday.

I figured a little plant that made babies would be nice, and mostly free to me. I started trying to make tiny concrete planters, but prob won't have those ready in time :)

Maybe ill-chosen though, the spider plant is also called "Mala Madre" for throwing her babies out of the pot.
  • This is a precious idea.
  • Maybe I gotta go to freddy's and covertly steal all the spider babies?
  • Not @freddy's, Fred Meyers...
  • I love this idea, too!
  • I have a black thumb, so you should probably hit up Fred Meyers instead of my place.
  • If you know K South she probably has plant babies...
  • I realized that I've planted many of the little babies over the years and I can just steal them from around the house, some people will get more enticing looking plants, but oh well.

I wanted to make EPS-crete planters for them, but time eluded me. I'm still proud of my first one (made from my iMac packing material):

  • I have SO MANY spider plants right now but none of them have babies because I just did massive maintenance! Also this is much later than your request because I was in Colorado this whole time

but if anyone wants future spider plant babies let me know and I will clip them for you
  • Cool! I ended up not giving them away, So now I have a million of these dudes. Some of my second generation spiders are beginning to have babies too, so I'll be overrun! I'm trying to populate my office using one out of control pothos, a wandering jew and some spiders.

Also, I planted my philodendron in too big a pot and now it's not growing, which is bumming me out.
