Does anybody remember the old Dismemberment Plan song "You Are Invited"?

"You are invited by anyone to do anything
You are invited for all time…
You are so needed if you really want to go
You are invited for all time"

Etc. I just realized that Facebook has made this COME TRUE.

Like when your dumb friends in dumb foreign countries or dumb different cities invite you to EVERYTHING even though you're an 8 hour flight away?

Pretty weird.

    I don't know that band/song and I don't have Facebook but every morning I wake up to at least a couple emails which are invitations to things I am not even remotely interested in happening in cities I was in for three seconds, or have never even been to.

    It seems that quite a few individuals visit the websites of people they are curious about and just copy all available email addresses to their newsletter directly.

    I might be an asshole for having rules, but I feel like adding my email to your newsletter requires at least a one on one email introduction.
