LINCOLN OR ARGO? I CAN'T DECIDE ARGO IS ABOUT HOLLYWOOD CHANGING THE WORLD BUT LINCOLN IS A JINGOISTIC PIECE OF SHIT BY STEPHEN SPIELBERG WHICH WILL IT BE
I feel like Argo I would be comfortable with. I found it very delightful and well done. Kind of funny in a satisfying way to think of it being dubbed THE GREATEST MOVIE MADE THIS YEAR Django is probably the one of them I've seen that I actually loved the most My gut says it will be Lincoln, which is barfy. Is it less barfy than Life of Pi? That is a tough one. I would literally never watch Life of Pi under any but the direst of circumstances (airplane with no reading material; husband being held hostage until I watch it; or the like), whereas I would pretty gladly watch Lincoln if it didn't involve paying any money. I think Lincoln would be more fun to watch and make fun of, but does that mean it is more or less barfy? subtle distinctions
I saw 4 new movies last year. The Master (which i saw mostly because i like 70mm) Sleepwalk With Me (which I saw because i hoped it would have jokes about Walla Walla) Hobbit (which i saw mostly for the 48 fps) Batman (which i saw mostly for the IMAX)
I probably shouldn't watch the oscars if that weird gross dude is hosting.
Just looked up the host... What the flying fuck is this garbage?.?..? Isn't the oscars the show that put billy crystal in blackface in the air? I guess I shouldn't be surprised in their current disgusting choice
Life of Pi was amazing visually. No matter what you think about the story (which isn't that bad, especially if you've read the book first and are thus inoculated), it's a BEAUTIFUL movie. I hate 3-D, but that is one movie I wouldn't see any other way.
Life of Pi and Cave of Forgotten Dreams are the only 3-D movies that are worth it to me (so far).
When was the moment you became disillusioned with the Oscars? Mine was when Titanic beat out L.A. Confidential. And then the next year Bill Murray wasn't even nominated for Rushmore. Total bullshit.
sorry guys!!!!!! i made it almost to the end by the end though you're so enervated and exhausted that your eyes just stare at the spectacle and there are no thoughts or quips
I was very mad about Daniel Day Lewis but other than that I was pretty much done by then. Jennifer Lawrence falling down was charming
"Furthermore, there was a disturbing theme about violence against women being acceptable and funny," the lawmakers wrote. "From topical jabs about domestic violence to singing about 'boobs' during a film's rape scene, Seth MacFarlane crossed the line from humor to misogyny."

Which should it be? I can never remember what all came out in a given year. I saw American Gigolo this year. That was great.
