  I have this powerful memory from childhood of my dad taking this enormous gulp of cream of broccoli soup out of a coffee mug (don't ask, my childhood was somewhat jury-rigged) and going APESHIT because of how hot it was. My normally very calm and collected dad was, like, flapping his arms around and flailing wildly and leaping out of his chair and making crazy sounds. And my brother and I burst into HYSTERICAL laughter. In my memory we laughed for 10 minutes straight, so hard we basically peed our pants. And my dad's feelings were hurt

  Hot food and beverages are very dangerous
  There needs to be a PSA about this.
  
  Several weeks ago George Noury, the main host of Coast to Coast AM, had a debilitating food burning incident involving Microwaved pizza rolls. He has spoken about it many times, saying "please check the internal temperature of your food before eating it, or especially your kids'... If I can save one person from this pain by talking about it then it is worth it."
  
  Personally I have received 2nd degree burns from spilled tea from a cafe, resulting in the permanent scarring of my body. It made me sympathetic to the famous 90s person who sued fast food because they were burned. There is a reasonable limit to How hot food needs to be but you have to monitor it yourself. Please be careful--peace
