Trying to get syched for NYE...

Hmmm. I'm usually out of the country around this time of year.
There are some good shows, but I get weirded out by people rushing to get sloshed by midnight...
There's certainly something to celebrating surviving another year, but I don't think the practice represents the sentiment for me.
I've been doing carpentry in my apartment, and the fumes are super rowdy (but mostly harmless), even after letting the place breath for a day with me gone...
Kind of just want to make Berlin School Electro in my piece all day.

    I am feeling similarly... I have been underneath the weather and have a low amount of energy.
    But my b.f. bought tickets to YU weeks ago... who says you HAVE to stay out until midnight, though?

    I usually have weird NYEs so you can imagine how EXCITED I am to have the OPPORTUNITY to finally spend an NYE doing what I love best: pouring champagne on Alan Forkbeard's stupid fucking face and spanking him 2013 times and one to grow on! I'm going to wear a DRESS and I'm going to DANCE and I'm going to SOCK ALL MY FRIENDS IN THEIR SHOULDERS!!!!!!!!

    O my! That was senior-skip-day level crazy fun! Portland is so sweet! I ended up hoofing all the way back to Alberta street about 2:30 am, a sweet reflective aerobic meditation interrupted about halfway by a guy walking by with an extra box of red velvet cupcakes - Thank you friendly guy! - Happy New Year - the two ladies who had me take their picture at the bus stop by the Lloyd Center McDonalds - Happy New Year, Ladies - the guy on the bike who stopped to ask what time it was, "about 3 I think" "Thanks, bro" "You're welcome, Happy New Year!" - and the two ladies in the Prius who stopped to take me the last 8 blocks. Happy New Year one and all! We're gonna win!
