  • PROS: Just look at this cat!
CONS: Still paying off Andy's vet bills, still missing my special guy. Too soon?

I'm going to meet him this afternoon just for to see- low pressure PIPONBD before ballet.

What do you guys think I should do??!
  • He’s super adorable
  • Pop in
    Pet a cat
    Don't be in a rush
Don't adopt a cat just because he is well marketed

I feel like there are so many animals in this world who need homes, if you're feeling guilty like "is it too soon after Andy's death to get a new cat because that will make me feel cold-hearted" then maybe think of it as giving a home to someone who really needs one, which is what you do whenever you bring home a cat or dog

if what you're feeling is more like overwhelmed/broke then maybe give it a second thought. But if it's primarily guilt I say the good deed trumps it

that is indeed a well marketed cat though

why are they getting rid of it?

people who get rid of their pets: shitty, or the shittiest? I can't decide
(note: worse for dogs, to be fair)

Yeah, I've heard a lot of great stuff about this cat. Really wanted to bring him home myself, but I think Prince would revolt.

Speaking of- I got Prince really soon after Spooky died (R.I.P.)
It actually didn't feel weird, and it made me really happy! I felt confused and awful about getting a new cat so soon, but he was so clearly in need of love and shelter, and he had such a great face. As soon as we got him home I felt no regrets.

    BUT, follow your heart!

    ....and now gratuitous cat pics.......

  • Prancing Prawns
  • I think bringing a dog back can be the sign of a responsible person.

    Be aware of your limitations.
  • @Wanda You should prepare a binder full of cats.
  • Meet the cat.
  • Prince is so cute!
  • Moonpie is also cute but has a silly, undignified name.
  • Well I went to meet Moonpie and he was a very special boy but he was not my cat.
  • I want to hear more about ballet!
  • I want someone to get this cat!!!
  • oh i thought wanda was enrolled in ballet class!
  • Ha ha.
    She is.
    I was just goofing.
You said you wanted to hear more about ballet so I looked up a ballet podcast. HILARIOUS.
  • I am in a ballet class! It's at NW Dance- the studio across from the NoPo Fresh Pot. "Ballet for Absolute Beginners" aka middle aged women! It is wonderful. Wednesday nights at 7:30. Drop in!
  • I feel like I would benefit from ballet for sure. Balance, etc; however, my booty prefers African Dance.

I want to drop in to Dishman! After the ballet podcast... ;)
  • My mom got into ballet when she was our age (!!) and it really made an impact on her. I have cool memories of her pointe shoes and her doing crazy stretches. She said she loved it. Ultimately that practice led her to yoga which has become her life's work. So yeah, ballet lessons!!!
  • I used to take step aerobics at Dishman, it ruled
