sorry to use UHX as tech support, but is there a way in this day in age to easily rip videos from youtube? i tried googling it but was overwhelmed with tons of conflicting and out-dated geek talk. i just need a copy of this classic commercial!

I use this Safari Extension called YouTubeOptions that works really well

https://extensions.apple.com

its in the entertainment section

It gives you so many options for what kind of file you want it to be.
