  • I prefer Arnie Palsmers

    Things I drank last night:
    High Desert Swizzle (Kask)
Whiskey with a pickle juice back (Kask)
    Gunsmoke (Kask)
2 beers, a whiskey and coke, half of another beer, and some tequila (Crystal Ballroom)
A swig of Frogtor's scotch (parking lot)
    PBR (Alibi)

    JEEZ.
  • Did you do karaoke
  • The place was so busy that they weren't taking any more songs :(
    I danced though!
  • Except that we bribed (with money) the KJ and got some songs in
  • Did you sing a tune, Uncle?
  • Sweet Tea Vodka originated in my hometown of Charleston, SC. SHOUTZ OUT.
  • That same night as Alex I drank two Warsaws at Kask, a delicious drink!
Then I drank a greyhound at the CB
Then Adam came by and shoved his half-finished whiskey thing in my hand and so I drank that
    Then I was done!
Did not sing at the Alibi but did enjoy jumping up and down for Pretty Nathan
  • The drinks at Rum Club Guerilla Happy Hour were soooo good. Mike got one in a coconut.
  • I was too slayed by The Visit Of LA Jake!
I feel like I'm never gonna make it to one of these too!
I was basically asleep by 9:35. Watched a weird Willem Dafoe movie half-awake for awhile. Willem Dafoe is such a great weirdo.

  • Oh my god, what movie? I luvs Dafoe.
  • I got the scoop on this night that you are talking about from a fish called Wanda. It sounded like such fun
  • Rum Club recommended: Rum Club Old Fashioned. Followed closely by Ellwood.
    http://rumclubpdx.com/menus/drink
  • Last night I had a rum and coconut, an Ellwood, a RCOF, then a flute of champagne and a fancy bourbon with my oysters, then a scotch with Mikey K.

    AND I WAS NOT HUNGOVER.

But also, I skipped the gym this morning. But just so I could edit video. Was up at 7am.
  • i have found, perhaps unsurprisingly, that the fancier the drink--in terms of booze quality but also freshness of juices/vegetables involved--the less hungover I am.

  • Loosey_Goosey,
I did not sing a song at karaoke. I paid some bribe dough to have an out of town friend do a special request for me. It worked very well.
    Karaoke crescendo.

I had a great drink at the Rum Club too! Just had one drink. Very chill!
    I had a Chilcano
Pisco, Fresh Lemon, Angostura Bitters, Ginger Beer

but then at Eat I drank a Cranberry Babygirl

Guerrilla Happy Hour is a great event.
  • You also had a fancy bourbon with me.
  • Very Old Very Special
  • I think I was wrong about the name. :(

    Just Jefferson’s Reserve Very Old.
  • What's in a Cranberry Babygirl? I very much like the title of that drink

    other great drink titles:
    salty dog
    troublesome triscuit
    dented sidecar
    pint of well vodka (JOKE)
  • Wait, did you see Nathan do Pretty Nathan? I'm jealous. I saw him do "Don't Let Nate Down" at Chopsticks tho.
  • "KJ"

    ***** (out of 5)

    Remember (out of)?
  • Pretty Nathan x2
  • Pretty Nathan is not Nathan

Been putting a couple of lemons and limes and ice in the blender, pulp and all, then adding sugar or agave or honey and water and more ice until it's drinky. Not a bad way to go. Liquor optional.
  • Does anyone drink milk
  • Nathan Gary Jr.
  • But it's based on actual Nathan? I know Gary is friends with him... very confusing Nathan situation.
  • Wishing I had thought to ask these questions when I saw everyone a couple hours ago.
  • Also, actual Nathan always refers to Gary as "Mandrew," which is funny, because he is the only person that I know who does so.

    Am I right?
  • Based on real Nathan, but is Gary
  • Ok, confusion ended.
  • who's real nathan?
    also
    i want a hot dog
  • Hot Dog Nathan

Nathan is Gary's friend who he knows through his friend from Chicago who was a groomsman at our wedding? Nathan was also at the wedding, filming stuff with Dalas, maybe you met him? He's a cute little critter
  • Pretty Nathan is now Real Nathan though
somebody tell the old real nathan
  • Ok, we'll just call him ORN from now on.
  • We got a watermelon that ended up being kind of boring. So, I blenderized it with some lemon juice, sugar, and water, and strained it. Dude, it ended up being SO GOOD!!! Especially over ice with some rum.
  • This is why freddy is the drinkmaster. Seriously so good for the summer life.
  • why are portland watermelons so shitty??
I have thought about this in the past. Don't we have access to decent watermelon?
    Wherefore watermelon
  • Instead of reading this thread to see how that watermelon drink was made, last night I scoffed at my computer, a full room away from me, and free-balled my own watermelon drink.

Not very successful! Blended watermelon with vodka and ice. It got really foamy, and then mostly runny.

After some time in the freezer it turned into a true slushy, but I think it need that dash of lemon and sugar to make it great.
  • bday beve

    nigori sake
    splash wvodka
    mostly San Pellegrino

    This w/e continuous limeade spritzers.

Apple Gin Rickey at Pok Pok was divine (apple vinegar, gin, ginger syrup, ice and water, [soda?])
  • I had a cool Pimm's drink at Oven + Shaker yesterday. Other drinks had this weekend: rosé, a mezcal toast to a successful house move, white wine, gin + tonic, whiskey + coke, beer, jello sake shot.
  • Fake bellini action over here - I made a (mindblowingly excellent) nectarine sorbet, and so I rinsed out the pitcher that had held the base with dry white wine. Summery deliciousness.
  • I had sparkling pink wine tonight! Full summer vibe.
  • Four bears break into cabin; drink 100 beers

"...the family of bears also reportedly ate all of the food inside the cabin, which included chocolate spread, honey (of course) and marshmallows."
