Italians Do It...

edited July 2012
Has anyone ordered from Italians Do It Better since they restocked/reopened their mail order?
I optimistically put in an order last week. Just now, I checked one of their recent blog posts and it is filled with comments about waiting for months for a shipment.

    UPDATE
I got a quick reply to my email for shipping info; it sounds like it could be months before I am gratified.

In this day of instant gratification, scarcity is, like.... I kinda like it....
  • With all due respect to small businesses suddenly slammed with tons of orders.

Is anyone on this board an Achewood fan? If so, you may have noticed that C. Onstad has a gig at one of our weekly papers as a food writer. Evidently this man has some loose ends with his cult comic Achewood--like the mail order thing kind of got out of control for a 1-family business. So now, whenever the weekly paper posts his food articles, there are comments like "ONSTAD, I PAID YOU FOR A COOK BOOK. WHERE IS MY COOK BOOK?? YOU ARE A LIAR!"
  • Tho it can't be *that* hard to ship a few thousand records, right?

I mean, Phil E. does all that shit himself and he sells hundreds/thousands of records.

GET AN INTERN TO SHIP THAT SHIT OR SOMETHING.

    Can I.... have an intern?

I'll teach them all that I know.

p.s. Good joke when people ask you when you plan on starting a family. "I'm just going to get an intern."
  • I stopped reading Achewood many years ago, but I remember that he had some kind of assistant. Maybe the angry commenters should attack her.
