I'm making kombucha and it's been 2 weeks and nothing is happening. I think it's not fermenting/not making a new mother / etc. Just still tastes like sweet tea.
Possible issues:
- the mother I used had been in the fridge for a year (in a jar of kombucha, so not moldy or anything). Did it die?
- it's not been super warm in our house, could that be the issue?
what should I do. I don't think it is moldy, it's just like nothing is happening in there. No bubbles, no change in taste, no mold, no growth, no nothing!!!!
