What did you do at work today?

edited December 2011
Today at work, I...
1. Talked to people on the phone about hepatitis.
2. Entered data into a database pertaining to developmental stages of babies and flu symptoms of moms.
3. Went to a meeting and discussed website usability for people over 65 yrs old.
4. Ate a lot of chocolate.
5. Surfed the net a lot.

What did you do?

  • I thought about working.
  • Wow Flossy, that is a crazy work day!
    Hepatitis, babies, chocolate, and the elderly.

    As for me I finished the reader for my course next semester (sort of) and then bookmarked a bunch of shit to read later.
  • I emailed a lot of people who are getting back to me slowly since they are mostly on vacation.
  • Today is the same so far too. :|
  • I am researching peer-reviewed studies demonstrating the health/economic benefits of bicycling. Pretty cool.
  • I did some temp training at a metals firm. The person training me said I was lovely, elegant, and attentive. ^_^

    Business experiment:

    Placed rideshare ads on Craigslist yesterday.

    PDX to SEA at 9:30am SEA to PDX at 3:30pm.

    Played 'booking poker' with various prospective passengers beginning about 6am.

    Executed drives. 9am - 1:30pm // 3pm - 7pm

    Northbound Passengers: (4)
    PDX - Olympia $10
    PDX - Tacoma $15 X 2 = $30
    PDX - Seattle $20

    Subtotal = $60

    Southbound Passengers: (3)

    Seattle - Vancouver = $20
    Seattle - Portland = $20
    Federal Way - Vancouver = $15

    Subtotal = $55

    Gross Sales = $115

    Gas = ($30)
    Coolant = ($8.99)

    Total Expenses = ($38.99)

    Net Profit = $76.01

    Any questions?
  • Wow!
    How industrious!
    I like it.
    How was the company?

    Thanks, Unc'!

    There was so much I can get lost in it.

    Here are the headlines:

    Northbound: It's Pat: Travel Edition (Awesomely Awkward!)
    Southbound: Occupy the Apocalypse (New Friends! New Understandings!)
