First juice and now Starbucks is getting into banking? (via kottke)

I get the feeling that Howard Schultz is getting bored of coffee.

This is actually an amazing idea.

Are we going to start liking Starbucks soon?

    Hmmmm.... looking into this more, I'm not as excited. It's not their own venture, they are just acting as a fund-raising arm for existing programs. Which is fine and all, but not the participatory action I thought they were getting into.

    What if somebody wants to get a loan to start an independent coffee shop?

    Well, Starboo isn't administering the loan, so I think that would work fine. :)
