Yours Truly wants a massage. Where should she go?

  • I think they do it at Loyly? That's probably a good choice.
  • How much and what's the vibe?
Is it like a Thai vibe where they step on you and wrench you around
or is it a cool yoga hippie vibe
    PERSONAL STORIES PLEASE
  • loyly is awzm
i get soft tissue work from my chiropractor office
backs on burnside, on ~22nd & burnside.
  • Dude, Loyly is EXPENSIVE!

I am looking for more like a $60 massage

Has anyone ever gone to East/West and gotten a student massage? What's that like?

  • i'll look in my email box because sometimes loyly has deals like, 2 hours at the spa with a 30 minute massage for a special low low price.

also, call backs on burnside, i think they're somewhere around your desired price range. - protip: tina and teresa are my favorites
  • yep, loyly has this "fall add on special" where you get some stuff for $15 extra and then add a 30 min massage for $39, 60 for $69 so...

2 hr entry to spa: $21
    add on stuff: $15
    60 min: $69
    you feel good for: $105+tip
  • I'm about to schedule me a massage at this place called Foot Reflexology @ 82/Harrison

IT'S $20/HOUR AND THEY DO FULL BODY.

  • oh hell yeah!
  • Also sign up for Groupon and LivingSocial, cause those dudes are all about massage deals.
  • That reflexology shee is way too violent for me. Went to that place next to Fubonn.

I'm afraid to relax. Not gonna be pretty.
  • Is there a kind that makes you more uptight?

    I want to try that.

    Get rolfed, Doc.

    (No actually, don't get rolfed.)
  • I want to get rolfed but I don't have a thousand dollars!

My mom got rolfed and now totally walks differently and is like 2 inches taller than before??? She has crazy stories. Rolfing was awesome for her. Also for 15 years she had a bad back that would abruptly go out and she'd have to limp to a chiropractor but after being rolfed she can now fix her back herself using only a tennis ball

    MAGIC?!
  • Reminds me of Alexander Technique. When I lived in NYC, my friend bought me a few sessions. It was interesting, but I don't know if I could bring myself to pay for it.
  • I know _plenty_ of people who'd pay for the "Alexander Technique". ;) :) :P :0
  • Looking forward to your video series. O_o
