To me, too! I have evening parent/teacher conferences after full teaching days Mon & Tues, then no kids but conferences all day Wednesday. Then Wednesday night it is PARTY time! 4 day weekend!! Also 2 year anniversary with Mr. D! We're going to celebrate either on Orcas Island or Vancouver Island. Still deciding. Feel free to weigh in!

Tofino is exactly where we're thinking of going! Would you take the ferry from Port Angeles or go I-5 all the way to Vancouver and then ferry it from there?

For me too! I have morning work on Wednesday and then I leave for Buffalo to see that tall guy over there. We will Friday/Wednesday party with you all from the east coast!

Port Angeles, ferry, then drive!

If you look at a map, Vancouver Island is actually way closer to Port Angeles than it is to Vancouver. Plus mellower border, less gas, etc.

Tofino (well, Clayoquot Sound) is my favorite place on the earth. Deeply. Truly. You can do the Port Angeles ferry or also the south of Vancouver ferry to Nanaimo takes some time off your trip and goes more often than Port Angeles. No matter what, it takes a long time to get there and that's part of the magic. I stumped google maps looking for directions from Portland to Ahousat.
