~*~The Works is the Place to Be~*~

If you haven’t been going to The Works after hours you’ve been missing out on half the PICA experience. Every night there are several shows, great food from a swanky area chef, and a hip crowd for post-show mingling. At $10 a pop it’s a little pricey if you aren’t a member, but I think of it as a super-club, a little like if the Doug Fir and clarklewis had a baby. And just think, it will all be gone next week! The Works is the best place to decompress after shows, make friends with fellow TBA heads, and chat up the artists. It’s the live version of this blog, so get there!
One note: There isn’t any water to be found for free. I forgot my wallet and was parched, but the bartender had nothing. There should be small cups and a cooler, because we just can’t live on Vodka alone.

Agreed you must be there! One note for the city, in the case they sponser another great event like this: having the Street Car run, oh, one last trip after the show at 1 am, or even advertise a train at *midnight*, would be much appreciated. How many of us have wandered out to the stop only to realize that ‘YB’ attached to the last three advertised stops? Fortunatly, TBA attracts a good crew, so the walk to wherever you have to go to get home is always interesting. One more thing: are any of the shows recorded going to be available for sale later? Victoria Hanna was crazy!

The shows will not be available for sale- but all the shows we present are available for viewing in the PICA resource room, of course it takes us a while to process all of the tapes- sign up for TBA emails- we often have screenings of TBA Favorites.
