I am writing from Seoul, Korea tonight. I am in pain over missing this performance by Daniel Bernard Roumain. HE blew me away with his violin and with his earnest encouragement to take on my own art. He told me to just schedule a performance somewhere and then do it. That’s how I got to Seoul. I finished performing “Owning Mine” last month and am working on a new work for December now. Thank You Daniel.
I couldn’t believe what I saw last night (Saturday), and can only say that I will travel across the country to see Daniel perform again. I want to bring everyone I know to see this performance, and every other performance I have seen yet. Thank you PICA for organizing all the amazing talent and bringing them to Portland.
