wow, this was the worst movie ever. but i guess i laughed a lot so maybe that makes it really good somehow. not as good as this book “live through this” that nathan lent me, now that’s been the highlight of my week. there’s pictures of brendan fowler on like every three pages and lots of pics of the best dudes (not limited to male dudes) ever in art! at least the dudes who’s zines i’ve been trading zines with for years and the only real inspiration around other than like patrick swayzee. i think i meant to rent footloose, but whatever, i’m like 20 years behind on catching up with this.
woah dude, the universe is seething with the synchronistic power of the swayze. friday night a block from my house is a dirty dancing themed party that will probably be awesome. we’ll be busy pretending we’re a band from tokyo at the works that night so we’ll have to be there “in spirit”… the spirit of DANCE that is!
in a closely related incident, last saturday i was in seattle and i was watching tv with my little brother before i went to sleep. on channel 49: roadhouse… innocent enough you might say, but what happend when i changed the channel to 50? yes, thats right. dirty dancing was on. DUAL SWAYZE ACTION BOMBARDMENT. ONE CHANNEL AFTER ANOTHER. it totally fucking blew my mind. is god trying to tell us something?
your life is not (totally) complete until you’ve heard “have a few, get some.” check the album on addict records – a tribute to patrick swayze. jazz, funk, hardcore, italian movie soundtracks and more. you must hear it. actually, i’m gonna put it on now.
also, point break is a cool movie.
