Ok, guys, gals, whomever is reading this. I might get to go see a movie this week (I know that makes it sound like I am on house arrest) and am considering Miranda July’s new one, The Future. When he last one came out, I wrote a bunch abut it rather hyperbolically, that it was one of the greatest contemporary films, which I take back, it’s mostly just good, but it’s kind of… twee. I really thought she nailed being a kid better than anything else and everyone was allowed their dignity and I admire that. Anyhow, all the reviews of the new one have me thinking I might really dislike this new one. HAVE YOU SEEN IT? WHAT DID YOU THINK?! I am willing to take a chance, but also, also a part of me, because I only am able to get out to an in-theatre viewing, like, every other month or so, currently (our babysitter is busy preparing for her dance performance in Belaruse!), I REALLY WANT IT TO BE A GOOD ONE. So I am asking, do I put this FUTURE on my queue, or do I see it now? HELP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>!

Since you can’t see The Trip I have no further recommendations–might as well see this one! Or Rise of the Planet of the Apes of the Future of Earth, it’s a toss-up
