All who speak ill of Bridesmaids are fools and traitors and are welcome not upon my doorstep nor bedchamber!!!!! DEATH TO THE BRIDESMAIDS HATERS! I have flung my gauntlet upon the smoking bloodstained earth! I’m so sure you’d rather go watch The Hangover Part Deux, talk about boring and tired. Yes I realize nobody is making Bridesmaids/Hangover2 into a stark dichotomy. And yes I realize that the Galifianakis line “When a monkey nibbles a penis, it’s funny in any language” IS VERY GOOD.
But my point is that everyone must watch this amazing Frenchy interview with Kristin Wiig and Maya Rudolph and a French man obsessed with farting and pooping. It is perhaps the first interview with comedians I have ever seen where the interviewer actually makes them laugh so hard the entire interview is derailed and the comedians are looking at each other like “WHAT IS HAPPENING?!” They know how stupid poop jokes are, but the very stupidity is hilarious. Are we really being interviewed on French television about pooping and farting? THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE (= surely what Wiig and Rudolph are thinking, god knows it’s what I’d be thinking).
I resent everybody who boils Bridesmaids down to what Lindy West calls “there are farts in it I PROMISE,” but still, there are undeniably farts in it, and I appreciate that there is one great French man who is willing to probe that issue to the eclipse of all other aspects of the film. I mean, this is probably the most honest, “real” interview I have EVER SEEN. Farts shall bring us all together.
Also the voiceover on the trailer is all about pooping. “Une petite probleme gastrique” etc.
“Everybody loves the poop on yourself scene.”
“What was it like to poop yourself on camera?”
“WONderful”
There are so many new movies I could see but I JUST WANT TO SEE BRIDESMAIDS AGAIN IS THAT WRONG?!
