you’re no jay blohm
whats so nice about these off the highway objects is that behind that egg – or giant whatever- was the person, and the community, that thought it was the best thing ever to make the worlds largest “noun” – i want an interview with the brain or brains behind the worlds largest egg!
Forget the egg, I’d like to know more about the Women Log Rollers. This also reminds me of the alligator enclosure at the Houston Zoo.
VALDEZ! yes, you beat me to it. as you can see, Winlock is an amazing place. i didn’t have time to truly delve into it’s richness, but i will go back.
ERIN! classify this as a fantastic Seattle to Portland alternate route treasure. (just say no to I-5)
ELYSE! (who is boycotting comments and just emailing me directly) here is more info and perhaps my new favorite blog:
http://www.rvtravel.com/blog/rvshortstops/2007/08/worlds-biggest-egg-awaits-in-winlock.html
also: who is Jay Blohm? is he a renown photographer of extremely large objects? or does HE HAVE A BIGGER EGG?!?!
also also: why do the snarky comment leavers never include their email or website?
The people of Winlock, WA made the “World’s Largest Egg” because the town of Winlock, WA was the number one producer of chicken eggs in the world for years. It is a statue commemorating the once prosperous industry that thrived in that section of the Amtrak corridor.
