EVENTS: July 2007 Archives

here is a list of upcoming performances. most will be in traditional rock and roll venues as opposed to cool vibe hut long form performance installations. things will become more firm, like the Hallelluah Festival, and maybe some shows in-between/before/after shows on that dirty projectors tour. really want to play oakland again, and maybe another smaller, more mellow vibe show in LA, maybe do a vibe tent at some point on the road. mt shasta vibe hut?? would people drive up for that??

ALSO TONIGHT!!!: Dark Yoga on Portland Cable Access tonight. i really have no idea what this is all about. Hopefully we'll get a tape of it. I'm thinking this could be the best shit ever!!!! friends with TIVO, lets do the do.
ALSO, TONIGHT::: possible DJ set with Uncle Air Balloon aka 1/2 Juice Team at Valentines tonight with Righteous and Harmonious Fists (portland newcomers who been interning at Marriage, music majors in college in Azusa CA, complex avant pop), depending on energy levels, when stuff happens. dudes should go to that show though!

Richard Pinhas, aka the dude behind the 70's French experimental, electronic, psychedelic prog-rock group Heldon in his first tour of the western united states. A direct disciple of French philosopher Deleuze as much as a Fripp-worshipping guitar tripper- this dude is no joke! Oh yeah and he is touring with the drummer from MAGMA.
Recommended if you like: Fripp, Eno, Heldon, Neu!, Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Temple, Amon Duul, Magma, 20th Century French Philosophy, prog-rock, the 1970's, psychedelic music, the history of obscure music (Nurse With Wound List, etc), proto-techno, pizza, guitars, music, sound, people.
