so here it is the end of august and the festival season of smoldering hot heat sun that we anointed christened and brought in and celebrated back in june at the eternal light festival has been chugging along like an overheated buick la saber on the terwilliger curves at rush hour, with lots of 'little' shows to play and watch and splash around in happening in between the big boats. the mixedest metaphors ever. on it goes into this weekend, white rainbow (now with additional trips! courtesy of curtis knapp on the rip synth dip loop vibe machines) plays at 7pm on friday at the disjecta hosted, mcgonigal/hylton curated halleluwah festival. 16 smackers a day gets you in the door. bring extra cash for site specific vinyl compilation, food, beer, merch, etc. yeah. lots of other fine acts playing look at halleluwah.org for more detailed informations.
valet, which of course is honey, is playing on the saturday of this festival, at 8pm. other yarnlazer affiliated bands, such as rob walmart, tunnels, acre and ghosting are all playing sets at this fest as well.
not to be outdone, a weird white rainbow is in the works for september 7th at the paragon on NE killingsworh with a one man band called fauluoah which is reported as being loops of mouth made sounds and crazy drumming.

to wrap up this coming month of fun and excitement, and entertainment and challenge and intrigue, is the NWEAMO (New West Electro/Acoustic Music Organization) annual portland festival. this year it will be held at the doug fir, a wonderful fucking venue that i'm sure most of you have heard me talk about before, perhaps at great length. perhaps with mentions of anonymous pipe-bombing fantasies. perhaps. this festival is on SEPT 24th and costs something around 10 dollars. more info on the fest can be found here NWEAMO is an organization founded by my old college music professor and a great fucking man, JOSEPH WATERS, who, along with help from yume bitsu's good old electronics wiz alex bundy and ring of 17/wolf colonel bassist Ryan Wise, started NWEAMO in his basement way back in the late 90's. no joke. so get IN. this year's festival has the theme of PULSES so expect some heavily panned reich/riley drumming and trip ripping of the most academic degree possible via octo-fuzz phaser wah guitar solos. yeah

so there you have it.

some upcoming GIGS, dudes.

love
your friend
