the best donuts in oregon

i woke up just now from a dream of filling out a box of a dozen of the best donuts in the world

i found this donut shop while doing a wine delivery in beaverton.
i was winding my way back to portland, maybe i was on the 8 or the 10 or canyon road. i think i was on sylvan. dudes, i was confused. i knew from my lewis and clark days a tiny bit about the first little reaches of beaverton from little road trips off of barbur, or by taking terwillliger west up that hill and over into beaverman's land
this donut shop is around there
where there is an 8 street intersection. on beaverton hillsdale highway, which may or may not be the sunset highway.
its shameful how little i know about the nice burb of beaverton.

ANYWAY - i was kinda lost and i saw this place and i thought, maybe i should stop, get out, get my bearings, have a donut, chill for a minute

turns out these fucking donuts are the best donuts i've ever tasted in my life

i would recommend the chocolate donut. im usually not a chocolate cake donut fan, cause the ones at dunkin or the supermarket tend to be dense, hard and stale

these ones are soft and doughy and have a strange - i dont know, i want to say egyptian- flavor to them. the dudes who run the place seem to be from the middle east somewhere. so you get a hint, just the slightest nudge of a hint of the spices of the silk road. just on the chocolate donut and maybe the sesame donut itself which is a donut covered in sesames. also weird and good. the rest of the donuts are just straight up traditional donut vibes, but done with care, made 24 hours a day it seems like mine were 20 minutes old or less and i was the only one in there. committed to making killer donuts.
honey and i went back the other day and got a dozen. we would also recommend the crullers, the old fashions, the weird toasted coconut on top one, the fritter and the heart shaped jelly filled

all amazing

woke up thinking about them

dang

if anyone goes, please get me 1 chocolate and 1 old fashion. i will drive and meet you anywhere in portland to get them (and if i dont you can just eat them)

cool! i went to high school sort of next to that place. i actually went to sesame donughts on monday. it used to be dunkin donuts, and they switched to sesame in 2001/2. i caught tri met to high school and i would get off the buss in front of that donut place and sometimes buy a bag of donut holes (like 20 for 2 dollars) that i would eat on my walk through that neighborhood on my way to school.

egyptian!

salem rolls with some sesame. the name sounds healthy. sesame instead of "dunkin" or "kreme."

Yes. When we were searching for a new donut company at the half and half we tried to figure out how to sell them, but the logistics just didn't work. They are some of the best donuts ever.

Has anybody checked out Joe's Donuts in Sandy, OR? I have vague high-school era recollections of amazing donuts there on the way to snowboarding at Mt. Hood. Check it: http://www.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=donuts&near=Sandy,+OR+97055&radius=0.0&latlng=45397500,-122260278,17389082237512841514&sa=X&oi=local&ct=authority&cd=1

"A morning delivery service throughout Beaverton, Tigard and the Portland areas is offered. In fact, many businesses, churches and schools place standing orders that are always welcomed."

i think we can all pool together we just have to pick a spot. Then all show up there once a week.
