it was a killer fucking wake
big ups to JOSH AND MOLLY for setting it up and laying it down deep and heavy! it was a good run. all of last night's jams were heavenly. mmmmm.

the things i do to kill time while honeys away
reverse chronology:
i went to bed
i stayed up all night watching the second half of shortcuts
we dropped off zach and came home and loaded our gear in
we went to wendys on the way to drop zach off i got a vanilla frosty with butterfinger bits
jesse zach and i piled the gear in the car and left the show
i enjoyed other people's music called thee scarcity of tanks
i had a glass of wine called burle box
i played music with ghosting and jesse durost at valentines
i went to valentines and enjoyed other people's music, called eye myth
i took a bath and watched half of shortcuts by putting the laptop on a bucket outside the tub
i played prepared guitar with screwdriver pencils, dental pick amp and headphone
i hung with fox and davis and tom and curtis on the dock looking at the big hole they are digging in the street
i opened my halloween packages from my parents! a fog machine!!!!
i talked with honey, who was in tuscon, vibing the eugene-ian tuscon vibes
i ate some pizza at oasis on hawthorn
i delivered wine
i had a cup of coffee
i woke up
i went to bed
i walked home
i went to rotture across the street and watched zach and jp play. jeff and jesse were there. no one else really.
i watched a little tv or something
i came home
i had dinner with mike mcgon and steve at florida room
i popped in at steves
i went to go get my car registered they were closed
i hung at home
we ate lunch at burgerville somewhere on the 5
i went down i-5 with curtis and fox to kill time
i puttered around the house
i woke up
i went to bed
valet is on tour of the south, southwest and west coast with silentist and mark's good ol' dog melvin. go check them out!

IN MORE LOCAL NEWS, DARK PRIEST - which is me, matthew mcdowell and brian thaqueray of dark yoga - are playing a show this friday (TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!) at Towne Lounge here in Portland with Eternal Tapestry and Ilyas Ahmed. $5, 21+ starts at 9 or so. i'll be playing bass and drums letting matt and brian each take a deep, dark, viciously stone-fried fuzz solo. rehearsals have been promising. get your stone groove on and freak with us on TGIF!
white rainbow is also doing a show on Oct. 14th for an after party for a play at the Artist Repertory Theater. playing music from 10 to 12 at night. tickets for the play are a little pricey, but food and drinks will be provided afterwards, as well as a nice white rainbow dome hut shining pulsing laser lights and playing continuos mellow psychedelic trips for your pleasure
it's funny that my last entry is all about wanting to get out of town, and now honey is out of town for two weeks. can't say i'm envious of her, though. living the bachelor life without her has been nothing but very dull and lonely. i think this will be the last time we won't be traveling together...
the new white rainbow record is nearing completion. i think there may have to be two separate albums, or one album and an EP. i'll throw up some sample mp3s really soon. i would love to hear people's feedback on some of this stuff.
also starting to conceive the installation for the trudi gallery in december. thinking about a sea of chimes and bells. and possibly an extremely limited dub-plate in very fancy covers. if you have any bells or chimes, be they cheap or fancy, but preferably bronze/golden in nature (as opposed to stainless/silver colored), that you would want to let me borrow for the month of december, you can mail them to me at yarnlazer 425 se 3rd #305 portland, OR 97214 or get in touch electronically.
in yarnlazer news, our next batch of releases will include hits by dark yoga, tunnels, acre and more. i'm super pumped on all these new deep drones! production will get started on those as soon as honey gets back. hopefully they will be all made and ready to buy before thanksgiving.
