just in time for honey's little west coast tour with privacy and grand junction grand therapy, honey just finished making the Valet Blood Is Clean Cd. we are super PUMPED!!!!! its kind of like the first "real" record on our new yarnlazer imprint, excluding all the weird white rainbow cdrs of a couple years back. the first release that both looks and sounds good. anyway if you want, you can order them from us now. $5 in town pick-up and/or at shows. $7 shipped out of town. let us know via email or comment here or whatever.

you can place a bid to BUY A COPY NOW AT THE YARNLAZER EBAY STORE (where one can also find killer vintage clothing curated by honey).

weird, i know, but some buy it now ones will go up in the store within the next few days.
many web things to do, but even before we get around to all of that you can just ask us and we'll get em to you.

the WAY in(n)

andrew kaffer and his brother's little hotel/hostel vibe station out in wheeler, OR, called "The Way In(n)" on the bay right south of manzanita is fucking amazing. honey and i went out there last sunday on her birthday and just had an amazing time. went to the beach, ate some pizza, hung out with the mellow kaffer brothers, drank some champagne, walked to the bay dock on a starry, moonless night, had some carrot cake, slept in a nice little room with our own bathroom just like a real hotel, woke up, went to the antique shop, dragged kaffers canoe across the 101 and went canoeing in the bay and walked around the little muddy islands in the bay, ate egg sandwiches, watched TRON...all for a very reasonable off-weekend price of $35 for our room. man alive. didnt really want to come back. if anyone out there in blog land wants more info about this place, send me an email.

paradomeplans.jpgtentpole.jpg
after a long talk with curtis, who has an engineer's mind, i have decided to go with the original plan to get long tent poles, bend them into half circles and tie them end to end, stand them up in a hex dome and drape the chute on top. seems the easiest, quickest way to make temporary structures with no stakes or outside ties.............once i get the tent poles i'll post up a progress report!
next up, spinning light globe repair and augmentation! i've got a handful of spinning globe lights, you know the ones with the circles of different color on a globe surrounding a lightbulb that spin? like the ones you could buy at a spencer's gifts...all in various states of disrepair. if anyone has any ideas on some cool mods for these things, like some way to adjust the speed of the motors or some

i need some help

many of you know how i like to make parachutes into tent like zome structures. i need some help developing this into something i can do a little better and with less set up time. until now, its always been a crap-shoot how i put these parachute domes together. clips, nails and lots of heavy string. but what i want to make are free-standing parachute tents. been thinking i might need some long parachute bend-y poles and some loops sewn into the cloth and maybe some way to tie the bottom ends together to make the tension of the poles work and stand up. does anyone reading this have any knowledge in tent, tee-pee or dome building? would you like to help me make some awesome para-domes that are easy to set up and take down? i have a show on the 29th at the Portland Art Museum's Biennial Opening Party and a) its outside with no structures to tie the parazomes up to, and b) its the same day as Franz and Sara's wedding, so i don't have much time to set up to do a killer show AND go to/play at the wedding. I need to build a quick set up para-zome. I need tent engineering help. I need someone with experience and know-how. Improvised tent making expert. Anyone out there? I can post pictures of plans. I have the 'chutes. I can purchase whatever. I have some space to experiment on this. could be fun, right?
