things seem to just roll on and out and in and beyond and before
documentation has always seemed a problematic affair, holding onto one snippet of history and amplifying it back and out creating a zoom lens frame around one thing that was in its original state surrounded and created by the world around it. no shit, right? old news? canonization? well it still makes me trip out sometimes
this guy danny sasaki
a man i forgot the name of whenever i saw him, occasionally, every couple of months in a random location
honey and i played music with him last night
he played a drum set
but he didnt really sit behind it
choosing to walk around it and find new things
and also take pictures while he played
which brings the documentarian and the catalyst of the moment together into one being
which is a cool thing to do
and i have this blog
with which i amplify and define
and document
and shine a mirror back on
and things of this nature
generally, you want pictures
images
sitll frames
or movies
sound and moving pictures
yes
and words
and links
right?
and i just keep seeing things
and
watching
and experiencing art in its creation
and most of the time i forget about preservation of these moments
for time
and you
to amplify and distribute
which, i know, is a powerful powerful thing
lately ive been feeling a little "out of the moment" while in the creative act
which is, of course, impossible
to separate the mind body spirit from the moment it is in
impossible
even self reflection and distance are still a part of each moment.
remembering and projecting and the moment of NOW truth are all one thing
thinking about butoh
and performance in general
and other things
