Reality??: May 2004 Archives
Survivor All Stars ended last night ended which started off as an extremely exciting season, but the second half of the season was marred with incredible boring predictable play from the so called all stars. The final vote ended up being incredibly meaningless because the final two (Rob and Amber) were a couple during the show and the cherry on the sundae came when Rob proposed to Amber right before the final vote making that the smartest move in the game assuring him of half of the dough, because he lost the final vote. I wish I could propose to a really cute girl who was just about to win $1 million dollars and I knew she would say yes, even if she is rocking a wallet chain on TV. The one twist was, they are giving away a second million dollars for this all stars season to be voted on by the public and revealed on another show on Thursday night. My vote goes for Lex(for being legit and making bold plays).
Most of the awesome personalities from previous seasons (Richard Hatch, Rob Cesternino, Colby Donaldson, Lex Van Den Berghe) were kicked off way too early and after the half way point no one made a power play at all. Rob was in control of the game the entire way, physically and mentally. I think the feeling is there won't be another Survivor: All Stars. I would like one another version of All Stars just for another opportunity to see Jonny Fairplay. So, the next big reality TV moment will be the American Idol finale, and I do have to say I'm pretty bummed about that because George Huff was easily my favorite, and he just got voted out. He was like the cutest man alive. I'm really excited for this summer's edition (it premieres on July 6th) of the emmy award winning The Amazing Race, which is the best reality show there is, and easily one of the best shows on television.
In other large scale TV happening news, that Friends finale was pretty crummy, even though it did feature part of the classic Pearl Jam b side "Yellow Ledbetter." (WHAT? SO WEIRD) Also, Snoop was unfortunately not funny on SNL, but last weeks episode with Lindsay Lohan was super good and maybe the best of the season. GO MEAN GIRLS!
